Welcome to the BFI Golf Tour for Commercial Real Estate Brokers and Developers. This is the 28th Anniversary of our extraordinarily successful event. Our summer-long competition is played on (14) of the top golf courses in the Metropolitan area. Participation is limited to real estate professionals associated with the top firms in the commercial real estate industry.

The 2024 BFI Golf Tour will be played at (14) exclusive Golf Clubs in the Metropolitan area. These championship courses provide the challenge and beauty worthy of this year’s event.

Referral/Recruitment Promotion – BFI will extend a $75.00 credit against the $450.00 registration fee for any Past Participants who recruit a new broker to join the 2024 BFI Golf Tour.

​Who Plays Where and When

  1. The Tour is limited to the first (50) registered and paid golfers. Each registered golfer will play a total of three rounds of golf between May and September. Registration fee is $450.
  2. To be guaranteed at least one round at one of your top four course selections:
    1. Be one of the first (30) golfers to pay in full AND
    2. Submit the completed Course Selection Calendar no later than Friday, May 3, 2024. Click here for Course Selection Calendar
  3. Golfers #31 through #50 and those golfers who submit their Course Selection Calendar after May 1st will be scheduled as course availability allows.
  4. Every effort will be made to accommodate your schedule. Due to limited access to some courses, golfers who cancel confirmed golf dates one (1) or more times, risk not completing their three rounds. Rounds canceled by tour participants will be played at Newton Country Club.

BFI Golf Tour Rules for 2024 For the Main Tour

  1. At the time of registration Tour Players must have a valid USGA GHIN Number to qualify for the NET Division Championship.
  2. Due to limited access to the courses, golfers who cancel confirmed play dates (2) or more times, will be disqualified from becoming a finalist in either flight of the Tour Championship and risk not completing their three rounds. All make-up/ re-scheduled rounds will take place at Newton Golf & Country.
  3. Golfers who choose not to complete all 18 holes for each of their (3) rounds, your score will be posted as “Incomplete”. You will not be eligible to qualify for the Low Gross or Low Net Championship Playoff.
  4. The bfi Commercial Real Estate Tour is conducted under the rules of the MGA (Metropolitan Golf Association) and the USGA (United States Golf Association). The USGA (www.ghin.com) system is used to calculate and record players’ Indexes and Handicaps and establish the Tour’s final Net Division participants.
    “For rounds that are terminated due to weather or darkness, once 12 holes are completed, the player’s handicap will be applied to the final remaining holes for the round’s total score.”
  5. In the event of a tie occurring in either flight at the conclusion of regularly scheduled rounds, an 18-hole play-off will be held to determine the finalist.
  6. In the event a player qualifies for both the Gross and Net finals, their Gross standing takes precedence, and they will play in the Gross Flight finals.
  7. All hosting sponsors have the cooperation and understanding of their respective clubs. In the event a tour player arrives after the agreed-upon meeting time, the hosts and other guests will tee off as scheduled. The players who arrive late may join the foursome already in progress but will be disqualified from becoming a finalist in either flight.
  8. Cell phones and all electronic devices are not permitted on the BFI Golf Tour. Please note that such devices may not be displayed on your person.
  9. Occasionally, tour participants will accommodate bfi by serving as the 4th golfer when we receive a last-minute cancellation. Scores from this “bonus round” will not qualify for the Low Net or Low Gross Playoff.Exception: If a tour participant is unable to complete his/her (3) play dates by Friday, August 30, 2024, the score from his/her “bonus round” will qualify.Golfers who play bonus rounds at the premier courses (Baltusrol, Plainfield, Ridgewood) will be charged an additional $200.00 fee.
