William Paterson University

For 30 years, this space at William Paterson remained as is so it was well overdue for an update to show off the new and exciting future for this school. This building serves as the main facility on campus for both commuters and live-on students.

The team at BFI setup several goals to create the solution for William Paterson University that included:

  • Budget was critical to maintaining, and helped them maintain it through various options of products.
  • Spent a lot of time finding cheaper/ alternate solutions of products/designs they liked that made the budget go over.
  • Collaborative meeting space → used low casual seating and high-top stools
  • Budgeting was a huge part of this project because the budget was “stricter”

With varying types of seating arrangements to enhance meetings and studying, the team at bfi were able to create a space for the modern student while staying true to the University’s overall vision. We included hightop tables, private booths and seating all with WIFI and charging stations so no matter how long you sat in those relaxing chairs your technology would never be interrupted.

  • Falcon → Manufacture for the banquets (West berry styled customized the booth)
  • KI→ Seating (Grazie chair and stool)
  • Surface works → Tables (Arches tables)
