An increasing number of companies are realizing that open plan offices don't support their staff effectively. This kind of office space works for tasks where employees work individually and where concentration tasks are limited, but studies show that employees work in teams or need to perform concentration tasks approximately 75% of their working hours. This often results in a shortage of smaller conference rooms, project rooms, creative spaces etc., while desk space in open plan offices remain unused more than 50% of the time. Activity-based work spaces provide the solution to this problem.
