To make a configuration, each module is secured to another as high and wide as you need, without the restriction of an enclosing case. Tops and bases come in various heights, so a product can fit with your architecture or align with your furniture. To rescale or repurpose, it’s easy to switch out modules or make them stack higher, unstack, or reverse.

Filing Capacity
Meridian offers a 20-inch-deep lateral file, expanding front-to-back capacity by 18 percent over a file with the standard depth of 18 inches.

Quality Construction
Top-of-the-line quality is engineered into every Meridian product. Full-frame, solid-steel construction keeps files rigid. Double-wall drawers are tough and durable. For safety, only one drawer can be open at a time. For security, locking configurations can be customized.

We’re Working to Get to Zero
Meridian helps Herman Miller reach our sustainability goals of zero landfill, zero hazardous waste generation, and zero VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions into the air by 2020.

Meridian products adhere to the McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC) Cradle-to-Cradle protocol. MBDC Silver certification is pending for all Meridian products.

Cases are made of 100 percent recyclable steel. Metal parts are powder-coat finished, and only water-based stains are used, so they produce no polluting VOCs during manufacture. Inside Meridian, recycled Ironstone finish on drawer interiors is made from up to 50 percent recycled powder-coat paint. Herman Miller purchases all woods from sustainable supplies; that means the wood must be replenished faster than it is harvested. Meridian is also GREENGUARD certified and can contribute to LEED certification.
